- Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry if we are using some of the more common Walt Disney World (WDW) acronyms! We really should be minding our manners and making sure we are speaking more clearly so people do understand us, as there are quite a few first time forum users visiting!
There are quite a few very common acronyms used by people at a lot of the forums and websites dedicated to Walt Disney World. If you go to www.allearsnet.com and do a search for "acronym", you'll find a pretty good list of them. To get you started, here are some of the most common ones:
ADR - Advanced Dining Reservations
AK or DAK - Disney's Animal Kingdom
DHS - Disney's Hollywood Studios
MK - Magic Kingdom
MNSSHP - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
MVMCP - Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
CM - Cast Member (the Disney employees are called Cast Members)
DCL - Disney Cruise Line
EMH - Extra Magic Hours
And don't forget this one - ILTMP - it stands for "I Love the Moms Panel". Okay, I totally just made that one up!
