Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- how can you have a name brick at the entrance of wdw Would like one in memory of my grandson who sadly is not with us anymore but the family would love to see is name there
- - Asked by Lynne from Sussex on 1/5/2014
- Lynne, my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your grandson. I know he lives on in your memories and would be honored to know you wanted to do something so special for him.
The Walk Around the World Bricks that thousands of guests see daily as you walk along the front path way to the entrance of Magic Kingdom began in 1994. Disney fans were able to purchase a paver and have personal information along with the choice of several designs engraved on it. I am sad to report this program was discontinued in early 2000 to make way for Epcot's Leave a Legacy, which began Fall 1999 and continued until June 2007.
I know this is not the information you wanted to hear from me but I wanted to let you know. I think your grandson must have been a special young man who must have loved Disney ever so much and I hope every time you visit you can see his smiling face in every magical experience and I hope you make more magical memories knowing he is always with you.
Much Kindness and Happiness,
