Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi. I keep seeing all these acronyms like CM and CRT and DHS on Disney websites. What do they mean and is there somewhere I can go that lists all of them so I don't have to keep asking for each one? Thanks!

  • Brad,

I participate in several Disney boards myself, and am well familiar with the alphabet soup of WDW-related Acronyms out there.  Since this forum has lot of first-time visitors (but we welcome all!), we try to avoid acronyms and/or try to explain them when they come up in a question.

If/when you do need help, a couple of on-line resources come to mind to help decipher WDW acronyms:
    -  (enter “acronym” in the search engine)
    - (look for the “Disney Acronym Decoder” function)

Let me also share some common acronyms:
    ADR - Advanced Dining Reservation
    AK - Animal Kingdom
    CM - Cast Member
    DDP - Disney Dining Plan
DD - Dear (Darling, Disney) daughter (sometimes followed by a number, representing age)
    DHS - Disney’s Hollywood Studios
DS - Dear (Darling, Disney) son (sometimes followed by a number, representing age)
    DTD - Downtown Disney
    EMH - Extra Magic Hours
Epcot FW - Epcot: Future World
Epcot WS - Epcot: World Showcase
    FP - FastPass
HDDR - Hoop Dee Doo Review
    MCO- Orlando International Airport
    ME - Magical Express
    MK - Magic Kingdom
MNSSHP - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
    MP&PP -  Mickey’s Pirate and Princess Party
MVMCP - Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
    RD - Rope Drop
    WDW - Walt Disney World

    And two of my favorites…
DH - Dear (Darling, Disney) Husband
    MP – Moms Panel
