- My wife is in a wheelchair and we appreciate the accessibility allowed to disabled guests. I have recently heard that Disney is changing the rules. Can you tell me how?

- Hi Gareth,
The Guest Assistance Card that you are familiar with will be replaced
with the new Disability Access Service Card on October 9th. This new
system will still accommodate Guests who are unable to wait in a
conventional queue due to a disability, it will just be different than
the system that you are currently used to. Due to the increasing volume
of requests that Disney receives for special access to their
attractions, they are changing the process so that it creates a more
consistent experience for all Guests while providing accommodations for
Guests with disabilities. This new Disability Access Service Card will
offer Guests a return time for an attraction which is based on the
current wait time.
Please rest assured that Disney has an unwavering commitment to making
their experiences accessible to all Guests and that will not change.
You will want to contact Guest Relations upon arrival to discuss your assistance needs.
