Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi! My husband, 4 year old daughter and I will be traveling to WDW from Costa Rica on April 15. What´s the best way for us to get around the parks with her? Is she too "old" for a stroller? Do you think she can walk all day on her own? Thank

  • Hi Emilia,

I was lucky enough to visit Costa Rica a few years ago. Such a beautiful country!

For a Walt Disney World vacation, four years old is definitely NOT too old for a stroller. Depending on where you're staying, you can typically expect to walk between six and ten miles a day. This is challenging for some unprepared adults - and could possibly be a real problem for a tired preschooler. You will often see even six and seven year olds in strollers at WDW, even though they have long been out of strollers when at home.

Disney does have strollers available to rent, but I strongly recommend that you bring your own from home. You can read the post HERE for more information.

Good luck with your planning and enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
