Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are going to plan a family reunion June or August, 2014 to WDW. How far ahead should we start planning on making reservations? Which month would be better with regards to the Florida heat? Any deals for groups of possibly 30-40 people?

    Hi Nancy!

The 2014 Disney Vacation Packages won't be announced until sometime next year. In fact, even the 2013 rates have not been released yet. If we follow general historical trends, the 2014 Rates and Packages will most likely be released sometime during the Summer of 2013. Therefore, I would strongly encourage you to check Disney's website as it gets closer to that time.

The good news is that you can make "Room-Only" reservations 499 days in advance - with a non-guaranteed rate. To do that you may simply call the Resort Room-Only bookings number at (407) 939-7429. You can always change the reservations to Packages after the 2014 rates are released in 2013.

Be sure to check the Special Offers page and spend some time exploring the website in general. This will afford you the opportunity to determine if your dates qualify for any applicable discounts in Rooms for 5 Guests or More.

In addition, I would recommend looking into the Disney Event Planning website. The Events Planning Team can customize an experience ideally suited to celebrate your Family Reunion Disney-style! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

Enjoy a most magical family reunion at the Walt Disney World Resort!
