Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- What is the best way and most economical way to plan a Family trip to Disney? I have 8 adults and 3 children, ages 5, 3 and 1. Where to stay with the easiest access to all the parks? I am considering September or October 2011.

- Hi, Kathleen! There's a lot that goes into planning any family vacation, but when you are talking about a large family and Walt Disney World, it can seem overwhelming!
I'd start by determining what your budget is, and see where you can make choices that allow you to stretch that budget. Walt Disney World offers some great value resorts, with food courts, terrific pools, and fun decor. From there, you can go all the way up to a grand villa at one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts. These are quite pricey, but split among several families (they will accommodate 12 people) - especially when you consider that you also get a washer/dryer and a full kitchen - you might find this a reasonable option.
Keep an eye out on www.disneyworld.com to see if you might be able to take advantage of any special promotions or discounts. There are often specials such as free dining, 40% off per night at select hotels, and others. You might find one that will work in your time frame - or you might find it worth it to change your holiday schedule.
For easiest park access, one of the monorail resorts is probably the best - although they are all deluxe resorts. The monorail gives you convenient access to EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom, but you'll have to rely on other transportation to get to the other theme parks. Unless you plan to return often to your hotel, you may not find it necessary to be at a monorail hotel.
Whatever we can help you with, just let us know! We'll get you through the planning and off to a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
