Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Arriving at WDW for 1st time 5pm 10-31-09 for 7 days with DH and DD's age 2 and 5. I am wondering if you think an evening at Downtown Disney will be a fun way to spend Halloween night. MNSSHP is not a good option. We are starting early on the 11-1 at EP.

  • Hi Stephany,

I think Downtown Disney is a fabulous idea for your first night.  You didn't mention where you will be staying, but you should allow at least an hour to get to the hotel from the airport if you're using Disney's Magical Express to a Disney hotel, which makes your arrival to your hotel around 6pm.

When my daughter was seven, we went straight to the Magic Kingdom after checking in.  One hour later, my poor girl was exhausted!  It is our new "tradition" to head to Downtown Disney on our first night, where we soak in the sights, shop and have dinner.

At Downtown Disney, you'll enjoy yourselves at a more relaxed pace, and be rested for your next day at EPCOT.
