Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi! We will be arriving at Disney in just two weeks! I have read about a lot of extra special things for girls. Is there anything extra special (besides the character meals we have booked) we should do with my two boys ages 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. Thank you

  • Kristin,

With younger boys like yours, I think you will find that just being at Walt Disney World is enough. They will be overwhelmed and amazed by it all, so don't feel too pressured to "plus" it up for them.

But there are a few experiences you might consider. One of my favorites is The Pirates League. Even my daughters love to get in to the swashbuckling mode every now and then, but this is so much more. Look past the fun costumes, swords, and pirate makeover, and just think about the experience for a second. The Cast Members there are so into the experience, and they really make it more about the entertainment value of being there than just the makeover itself. The boys will get to be the center of attention, and they leave feeling like they are part of an exclusive band of scallywags! (See, I totally broke out my best pirate-speak!). Look at the attached video to see some of the fun.

If you want to go lower key, you could get face paintings at the parks. They will even do touch ups for free. My girls love that too.

I hope this suggestion helps? Write us back with more about their favorite characters, and maybe we can dig up some other treasures (ideas)!

    Have a magical vacation!
