Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are planning a trip to the Magic Kingdom with our 4 year old and was wondering if there is a list of appropriate rides/attractions she is able to see. This way we will save time by not visiting the rides/attractions for teens/adults.

  • Yes, simply click HERE to download the Magical Beginnings guide, which provides maps and a list of attractions that are appropriate for most young visitors to WDW.

Unfortunately Disney hasn't updated this guide for some of the most recent park changes (new or retired attractions). The key updates needed, that I noticed are:
Magic Kingdom:  "Monster's Inc. Laugh Factory" isn't listed, but I think most 4 year-olds would enjoy this attraction
Hollywood Studios: Missing "Toy Story Midway Mania", which is a great ride for the entire family
Animal Kingdom: The map still lists the Pocahontas & Forest Friends show, which was very recently closed
Epcot: Appears to be up to date

Depending upon your 4 year-old, there may be other attractions that she may also have the courage to experience, and some on the list may not be to her liking.  On a trip we took to WDW a few weeks ago, my almost 4 year-old daughter was afraid to go on the Winnie the Pooh ride on our first day, but on the second day her older siblings convinced her to try Test Track and Soarin' and she absolutely loved both of them! Go figure?!

    Hope that helps.
