Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I'm planning on taking my boys this summer, who are 6 and 8. i have cerebral palsy and my oldest has asperger's. i use to go there often when i lived there. Would it be better to stick with the fastpass or get the DAS for us and what about my other son?

- Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel ~
I have a son with several types of disabilities including Cerebral Palsy so I understand your concerns. FastPass+ (FP+) can be used in addition to the Disability Service Access Card (DAS) so use both. If you are eligible to make FP+ selections for your family prior to your trip, I would encourage you to do so. With the DAS, you can only obtain a return time for one attraction at a time but you can get another DAS return time as soon as you have finished one.
You can request a DAS by going to Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. Cast Member (CM)s will ask you some questions so they can best accommodate your specific needs. They'll take your photo for the DAS, go over the terms and conditions and have you sign the card. If you think there are times that another adult will take your son that has Asperger's to the parks without you, I would request a DAS for him as well.
CMs are allowed to approve the card for the Guest requiring the DAS and up to 5 additional Guests for a total of 6. This would allow your other son to accompany you in line and on the attractions. For a party over 6, you can ask to speak with a manager to request an approval for more Guests if the Cast Member assisting you is not authorized to approve it.
Here is some additional information regarding the details of how the DAS works. I've also included a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS .

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
