Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My daughter is 1.5 years & 32 inches tall. She is unable to stand at this point due to a developmental delay. I'd love to take her on tomorrow land speedway as I went on it as a young child and loved it. Will cast members take my word on her height?

- Hi Sydney ~
It is always great fun watching our children experience the rides and attractions at Disney World that we enjoyed as children. Seeing the magic through their eyes is the best.
As a Mom of a special needs child, I completely understand your concerns. They do have a place to measure Guests at each attraction with a height requirement. If you are able to hold your daughter up in a standing position, they should be able to measure her that way. Be sure to explain that she is unable to stand on her own. I had to hold my son up for a few years before be was able to stand and walk independently. Honestly, I think it will depend on the Cast Members you encounter at the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Because you mentioned that your daughter has some special needs, a Disability Access Service Card (DAS) may be helpful for her in the theme parks. You can request a DAS Card by going to Guest Relations at any of the theme parks. Cast Members will ask you some questions so they can best accommodate your daughter's specific needs. They'll take her photo for the DAS, go over the terms and conditions and have you sign the card.
Here are some details explaining how the DAS works.
Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.
