  • Hi Melanie ~

My son has several types of disabilities. Disney does a great job of assisting Guests with many different types of disabilities.

Go to Guest Relations at the first theme park you visit to request a Disabilities Service Access Card (DAS) for your daughter. They'll ask you some questions so they can best accommodate her specific needs. She will need to be present to obtain the DAS to have her photo taken for the card so be prepared for it to take a few minutes. Cast Members (CMs) will go over all of the terms and conditions of the DAS and have you sign the card.

Once you obtain a DAS, you can go to an attraction and see a CM at the entrance to get a return time to enter the FASTPASS (FP) or other alternate entrance if necessary. The CM will fill in the information on the DAS indicating your return time. They determine the return time by looking at the current wait time and subtracting 10 minutes. Your daughter will not need to be present to get a return time for attractions but she must be present when entering the queue and boarding the attraction. Once you've reached your return time on the DAS, there is no pressure to make it back within a certain time frame.

You can only obtain a return time for one attraction at a time but you can get another DAS return time as soon as you've finish one. If available, FP and FastPass+ can be used in addition to the DAS. We use the wait time to take a break in a quiet corner in the park or see a show.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS.

I'm limited in space but please feel free to visit again with any other questions. Its my pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
