  • About the DAS card. I understand we will get Fastpass times, but what about attractions that don't utilize the FP system? Will we have to wait in a long line there? Have autistic DS. I am coming with a Dr note, diagnosis, and his school IEP paperwork.

  • Hi, Jaynee!  The new DAS card does not give you a FastPass, so it's not linked at all to the FastPass system.  The card works even if the attraction does not have FastPass.

What will happen with the DAS card is that you will be able to go to an attraction and show the cast member your card.  The cast member will check the wait time for the attraction, and give you a return time based on that wait time.  So, for example, if you go to an attraction with a 30 minute wait, you will be given a return time of 30 minutes.  You can do whatever you would like with that time - visit another attraction, do some shopping, get something to eat, or wait in a calmer, away from the crowded queue area until your time comes up to return to the attraction.

This system was designed to make the theme park experience magical for all of the guests, and was developed in consultation with organizations like Autism Speaks.  You would never be asked for any confidential medical records in order to utilize the DAS card.

I hope this helps, and I hope your upcoming vacation is absolutely magical!
