Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • My husband and I are planning a trip to WDW this November. He uses an electric wheelchair and is worried about the battery running down. Can we plug in and recharge while we're eating or watching a show? We plan to visit Epcot, MK, AK, and HS. Thanks!

  • Hi, Barbara!  There are places where you can charge your batteries throughout each of the theme parks.  Some restaurants have locations where you can charge, and you may find some places inside an attraction while you're watching a show where you might be able to charge, but if he is unable to transfer, that will probably not work.

Most of the bathrooms have at least a few outlets, and there are charging stations located in some of the areas at the theme parks - including the new Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom.  You might want to grab some counter service lunch and head for one of these locations, so you can kill two birds with one stone.
Really, if you see an outlet, and it's not covered by a safety cover or being used by something already, it's probably okay to use.  Just be mindful to not block queues or attractions, and if you're having trouble finding one, just ask the nearest cast member.

    Have a wonderful time!
