Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are going on our first Disney vacation 1/30-2/2 We will be doing parks each day. Family of 5 with 3 kids 13,12,6 staying in FS at ASM. We did not purchase PH. What parks should we do each day so we can see all of the shows? Any other suggestions?

  • Hi Jessica!
Thanks for the question. First off, how excited you all must be so close to your first trip to Walt Disney World! It is such an amazing place and you are in for some fantastic memories! Although I usually suggest that guests purchase the Park Hopper option with their passes, just so that they have some scheduling flexibility, it is not a prerequisite to ensuring a magical time. I am going to assume that the four days that you list are full park days, and will not be broken up by travel. If this is correct, then the order in which I recommend parks always starts with a visit to the Magic Kingdom. This is the park that started it all, and it is chock full of amazing rides, character meet and greets, and wonderful parades and shows. it really sets the mood for your entire trip almost immediately. For your second day, I would recommend Disney's Hollywood Studios. I would plan to spend my third day at Epcot, touring the countries of World Showcase after some rides in Future World, and I would end with Disney's Animal Kingdom. Without the park hopper option, you will want to maximize park time. Upon check-in, I would obtain the most current schedule at the front desk, and then see which parks are open the latest on the days that you are there. There will also be updated park show times as well.  Next, I would see which parks are offering Extra Magic Mornings and/or Evenings during your stay. This is a benefit reserved only for resort guests, and it can provide up to 3 additional hours of park time or more on given days. As for other suggestions, I highly recommend at least one character meal during your stay. These can be booked in advance in the theme parks or at certain hotels, depending on which characters your children enjoy the most. I wish you a great trip!
