Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My family of 10 is planning on visiting WDW during Thanksgiving week of 2015. When should we start planning?

- Hey Haley!
If you are an obsessive travel planner like me the answer is NOW. Even though you can't book anything yet, there is research you can do so when the time comes you are ready.
Since you have already chosen the time of year you are going to visit, your next step will be to research transportation methods. There are pros and cons to all forms of travel. Flying will get your there fast but is usually the most expensive. Driving is usually the cheapest but takes up precious Disney time.
Your next research topic is resorts. There are several different budget levels and all resorts have a different magical theme.
The next step will be to create a skeleton touring plan of which parks you plan to visit which days. This doesn't have to be detailed but it will help you when you make your dining reservations. Later you can come back to this and research which attractions you want to experience in the parks.
Now that you know where you are going to stay and have a touring plan, it's time to figure out where you want to eat. There are literally thousands of dining choices at Walt Disney World. Once you have selected your dining choices most restaurants allow you to begin making your Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days prior.
Also check out the Disney Vacation Account which will help you save for family trip.
The last step is to relax. Your magical Walt Disney World vacation will be here before you know it. If you have any other questions please come back and see me.
Have a pixie-dusted day!
