Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I want to take my two sons ages 11 and 6 on vacation this summer and we are exploring our options. As a single mom of two I want to do something fun but conservatively/ affordable. Any advice for staying and visiting the theme park affordably?

- It can be done, Anne. First of all, I would suggest staying in one of Disney's value resorts. Doing so allows makes you eligible for complimentary round-trip airport transportation and saves you from having to rent a car or hire a driver. Disney's value resorts are a real value for budget-conscience guests! Secondly, skip pricey ticket upgrades like the park hopper and water park fun and more option; while these are great perks for some, they are certainly not necessary to have a good time! To save money when you arrive, you might consider eating a small breakfast in your room. Bring along dry cereal and paper bowls. You can pick up a carton of milk in the resort's lobby. For the remainder of your meals, dining in mostly counter-service locations will save you money. Also, do consider traveling during value season when room rates are the lowest.
I hope these money saving tips give you a great start with your planning, Anne. Don't hesitate to follow up with me if I can be of further assistance!
