Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • What is a Magic Band and how do we get them for our next visit to DisneyWorld in June?
  • - Asked by Heather from Missouri on 2/4/2014
  • Hi Heather,

This is a great question!  Magic Bands look like colorful wristbands, but are actually so much more.  They link together all the vacation plans you make with My Disney Experience, including FastPass+ selections, dining reservations, park tickets, Memory Maker and more.  You can also use them to unlock your Disney Resort hotel room and make purchases throughout Walt Disney World.  I've been able to use Magic Bands twice and I've loved the convenience (no more digging through my bag for my room key or Disney PhotoPass card)!

Magic Bands are currently being offered to guests staying at Disney Resorts.  Depending on a few factors, the Magic Bands will either be sent to you before your vacation or they will be waiting for you at when you check in to your Disney Resort.  I see from a past question you've asked that you might be staying at the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel or the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.  If so, I’m sorry to say that the latest information I have is that Magic Bands are not currently available for guests at these hotels.

You can find out more about Magic Bands at the link above and on the Magic Band FAQ page.

I hope this is helpful, but please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Beth
