Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are planning our trip 6 day trip for Aug 2014 and Im wondering if you want to do your dining reservation on the exact 180 day mark, how far out (or what is the latest date) should you book your reservation (hotel, tickets, dining plan) online? Thanks!

  • Hi there, Melissa!

I'm so excited that you're planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort for next summer! Woo Hoo!

You can actually book your Resort reservation up to 499 days in advance and if you know which Resort you'd like to stay in as well as your exact dates, I'd recommend doing that as soon as possible so you have the best chances of getting exactly what you're looking for. Package pricing is available now for 2014, so you could always book your package with the down payment right away!

As far as Advanced Dining Reservations, I really prefer to make them at 180-days out, especially with a majority of our favorites being extremely popular. You can always switch your reservations around once reservations are made. Also, one of the best things about staying at a Walt Disney World owned Resort hotel is that you'll be able to make your reservations up to ten days into your vacation, giving you a bit of a jump from other Guests who are not! It's definitely a great advantage!

I sure hope this helps, Melissa, and thanks so much for sending in your question! Please don't hesitate to stop back by if we can help with any others that you think of!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!

    ~Jackie
