Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are going to WDW Feb 2nd and have went back and forth between Value resorts vs moderate. My girls are 8 and 11 and we have it down to CBR for the moderate rate. Last time we stayed at POR and loved it but were not there much. Any thoughts?

- Hi Kristy!
My family also loves staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort, either the French Quarters or the Riverside.
Still, the Alligator Bayou section at the Riverside features a pull down-bunk size bed that my kids really enjoy. Also, the woods like feel at the Alligator Bayou, really helps setting the mood when arriving at the resort.
We do not spend much time at the resort and usually have one day to enjoy the pool and other activities.
My kids love having a water slide, so moderate resorts are a plus.
Personally, I prefer moderate resorts because these feature queen size beds, which really make a difference during our vacation - I am not a tall person.
Another factor to consider is the restaurants available at these resorts.
Disney's Art of Animation resorts features awesome details that other resorts do not have and its landscape and courtyards are quite unique.
Moderate resorts also have more room and bathroom space.
Selecting a resort depends on budget and taste, and all Disney resorts provide a complete vacation experience.
Thank you for visiting and letting us help you plan a magical Disney vacation.
Hope to hear again from you.
