Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi. Eight of us want to visit WDW in February 2014 when our kids are on their school break. Are 2014 hotel rates posted before 2014 package rates, and if so, should we book our hotel first and then try to convert it to a package later?

- Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on beginning to plan your 2014 Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. It sounds like you are going to have a magical Spring Break! Guests are able to book Room- Only reservations up to 499 days in advance, so you are definitely able to book the room-only portion of your vacation for February 2014. I would recommend calling 1 (407) 939-7675. A Disney Agent would be happy to assist you with all of the information regarding the 2014 room-only rates. Typically next year's Magic Your Way Vacation Packages are released in the summer, and if you choose to modify your room-only reservation all you will have to do is call the above number and the Disney Agent will be happy to assist you in changing your reservation.
You are still a while away from February, so it depends on your comfort level whether you wish to book your room-only reservation now or wait until the rates for the Magic Your Way Vacation Packages are announced this summer. If you tend to worry, I would recommend booking your resort room now, so that you can rest assured that you will have the exact Walt Disney World Resort and Room accommodations that you prefer. Because it is still early, even if you wait until the package rates are released I can't see there being an issue with your resort and room selection at that point in time either. With either option, there is no real advantage or disadvantage, it just means that you are officially going to Walt Disney World!
I hope that helps Jennifer. Please let me know if you have any other questions while planning your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation. I would be happy to help make your "Disney Time" even more magical!
