- Hi Penny!
I'm thrilled for you to be returning to Walt Disney World in 2013. No matter how many times I visit, Disney continues to build, re-imagine and enhance so many aspects of the property where no two vacations are ever the same. I can provide you a broad variety of changes you'll find when you return in October, from the brand, new Senses Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian to the Main Street Bakery soon to open later this year now serving Starbucks coffee. The California Grill has received a makeover and is scheduled to open prior to your arrival. You'll find a different parade, Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the addition of Merida and Periwinkle at Meet and Greets, and the very handy My Disney Experience app for your smartphone, providing you the ability to book dining, find characters and search wait times, all from the palm of your hand.
The VERY best addition since 2011, in my opinion, would be the New Fantasyland expansion, with the amazing Be Our Guest restaurant, uniquely interactive Enchanted Tales with Belle attraction, Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid, and many other surprises.
To learn of scheduled or last minute refurbishments, be sure to check out the interactive Park Hours calendar as your trip approaches, indicating any closings.
I'd also suggest ordering a Disney World customized map from the link provided. In a few weeks time you'll receive beautiful 20" x 14" maps of each Park, including your personalized "do-not-miss" attractions!
You will have a MAGICAL vacation, Penny. Have fun planning.
