- Hi Matt...I'm so excited for you and your family to be staying at the Art of Animation Resort! I've just returned from a stay there, and I can tell you it is my new favourite Value Resort. Your kids are going to feel as if they've walked in to the animated films they love! There are three themed pools at Art of Animation-the Flippin' Fins Pool, the Big Blue Pool, which is the largest of any Walt Disney World Resort, and the Cozy Cone Pool. The Big Blue Pool has a water-splash area for little ones, as well as speakers so you can hear music underwater! It is also close to Animation Hall and the Landscape of Flavors food court, so grabbing a bite to eat while spending the day chilling by the pool is very easy. There are also movies under the stars, an arcade and playground for your family to enjoy without ever having to leave the resort. Another option is to head over to Downtown Disney where they have awesome themed restaurants, bowling, movie theaters, a Lego store with a great play area, and of course, lots of shopping. If you have girls, they may want to pay a visit to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique located in the World of Disney store, where they can be transformed into their favourite princess! Finally, you might wish to enjoy a fun game of mini-golf at either Fantasia Gardens in the Epcot resort area or Winter Summerland in the Animal Kingdom resort area. You can check with guest services at Art of Animation to get current operating hours and prices. I hope I've given you a few ideas for your visit-and that you have a fun, relaxing trip to Walt Disney World!
