  • Hi Nancy:

Five kids! Two days! You are going to have the time of your life!

If I only had 2 days my first day would be at The Magic Kingdom. You should try to get there when it opens (or rope-drop) because there is usually a fun ceremony. Plus you'll get in there first to get in line or grab a Fast Pass to a popular attraction.

With your kids' ages, they are going to like everything. But my faves are Mickey's Philharmagic (nice & air-conditioned for when you need a break!), Splash Mountain (watch out, you might get wet!), Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin (your boys will LOVE this laser-tag type ride!) and of course, some classics like Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!

Don't forget to grab a Times Guide when you get there to check for special shows around the park AND for the parade route!

My second choice park would be either Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. I think Animal Kingdom probably has more for kids and is more attractive to everyone. There are some good thrill rides (Dinosaur, Everest) and some fun at-your-pace entertainment (like the Exploration Trail and the Jungle Trek), not to mention some of my favorite shows (Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo and It's Tough to be a Bug).

Hollywood Studios does have some Pixar stuff--Toy Story Midway Mania for one, plus meet-and-greets with McQueen and Mater. And there is a LIVE Disney Junior show. My kids love that!

You can bring almost anything into the park--just make sure it's in a soft-sided cooler (with NO wheels) and doesn't have glass containers.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me directly!
