  • What is the best time of the year to go to DisneyWorld?
  • - Asked by William from New York on 1/7/2008
  • Each time of the year offers a new experience at Walt Disney World.

I especially enjoy mid-late January for off-season prices and low crowds. However, more attractions are down for rehab and parks close earlier.

The week after Thanksgiving and first week of December are nice for viewing all the holiday festivities around the resort. The decorations, parades, characters and even the guests are decked out in holiday fashion. However we have had some very rainy weather during this time although on our most recent visit it was sunny and hot. If only I could predict the weather!

November brings ABC Super Soap Weekend  and June brings  Star Wars Weekends. There are events all year round that may persuade those in your traveling party to go a certain time of year.

Ultimately decide when you can get away (teachers often have to go in the Summer), and then look at the special event schedule. Decide what kind of weather you are hoping for and what kind of budget you are willing to spend. All of these factors will help steer you towards the right time of year for your family.
