Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- How's the crowd the first week in October? We have been the last two years in the month of April, and it was so crowded. Wanting to go when we can relax a little bit and not have to push our way threw people all the time.

- Hi Nicole,
October is typically a great month to visit Disney World. The summer weather has usually passed and it is not as humid but pleasantly warm. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticket event offered on select evenings at Magic Kingdom, and is a great time, often with minimal crowds and waits.
When planning our Disney World trips, I like to consult www.touringplans.com. This site uses an assortment of information like past park attendance, average wait times, holidays and special events to give each day a rating of one to ten. Ten is the largest expected crowds and longest waits and one is the lowest. I can tell you that the expected crowds for the first week of October is rated at 4-6 with the highest number on the weekend and Wednesday.
We have visited a number of times during the early part of October and have found the crowds to be manageable and were able to enjoy numerous attractions with little wait. Just remember to use the fastpass system for the more popular attractions, which always have a wait no matter how crowded the parks are.
have a great time!
