Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- How crowded is labor day weekend usually? My family is planning on going to Disney World from the 4th to the 8th of September.

- Hi Patricia,
Our family has visited Disney World a number of times over the Labor Day holiday. While it is a holiday, so it does tend to be slightly crowded, it is not nearly as crowded as the 4th of July or certainly Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I like to use a site called www.touringplans.com when planning our vacations. The site utilizes a number of factors like past attendance, special events and holidays to determine expected crowd levels on any given calendar date. The site rates each day on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 meaning the largest crowds and longest wait times. Using Touring Plans information and the dates you provided, I can tell you that Friday September 4th is rated at a 4, Saturday a 7, Sunday a 5 and Monday a 7.
We have found in our past Labor Day visits, that a large number of out of state guests have left to return home for the start of school. It seems the majority of the crowds are locals or late start schools trying to get in a few extra days of play before homework begins. You will most likely find that there are still longer waits on the more popular attractions but just remember to use the fastpass system on the most popular attractions.
Have a great time!
