Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • We are planning our first trip to WDW with our 5 yr old daughter. We are looking at March 17 - 23rd. How busy is the park at this time of year, and what is the weather like in March?

  • Hi Todd!!

Congratulations on planning your first Walt Disney World Vacation!!  I know that your five year old daughter will have an awesome time!!!

March 17-23 is right in the middle of the prime Spring Break time.  You can expect the crowds to be heavy during the week you are planning on visiting.  I would recommend arriving to the theme parks early and taking advantage of Disney's FASTPASS Service for the more popular attractions.  I also think it would be a good idea to take a mid-day break to allow your five year old to rest.  That will also help you stay later into the evenings in the theme parks.

The weather during the week you are visiting should be wonderful!!  You can expect the high temperatures to be right around 80 and the lows in the mid 50's.  I definitely think it would be short sleeve shirt and shorts weather during the daytime!!

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Have a magical day!
