Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My family is staying in Disney World 2/21-2/28. We currently have reservations at the All Star Sports. My kids ages are 9,12,15 and 17. We are wondering if we should upgrade to the Carribean Beach resort. Not sure what to do.

You didn't mention what your hesitation is with All Star Sports (AS) and why you are thinking of upgrading to the Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR). I'll give you a few of my thoughts and if you still have any hesitation, feel free to write back and expand on your concerns.
Our family has stayed at the All Stars (Movies, Sports) several times in the past with no problems. The rooms are smaller (260 sq feet) per room. They have a decent food court, gift shop and pools. Now that my children are older, they prefer to stay at resorts that have pools with water slides and the value resorts do not. This may or may not be an issue with your children.
The CBR is a moderate resort with much more theming. The resort is HUGE. Depending on where your room is located, you may need to take the internal bus system to bring you from one part of the resort to another. The rooms are larger than the AS rooms at 340 sq. feet. The main pool is newly refurbished with pirate theming, has water slides, etc.
What I would suggest is to take a few minutes to look at the Accommodations section on allears.net. From there you will be able to read about each resort in much more detail. You'll also find pictures and reader reviews.
If your family is torn between the resorts, you may want to take a vote and see what resort comes out in front. It all comes down to what is important to your family, budget, etc.
I hope this helps! Diane :)
