  • Hi Alexis,

How exciting to be planning your first visit to Walt Disney World (WDW)! As you'll quickly discover, Disneyland (DL) is much smaller and you'll very easily be able to use up the week and a half exploring all that Disney World has to offer (and you still won't see it all)! The great news is that the more days you buy on your pass, the cheaper it is.

I recommend a minimum 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, 2 days in Epcot, a day in Hollywood Studios and a day in the Animal Kingdom. Be sure to utilize the Fastpass (FP). I'll mention the "must-sees":

Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Mickey's PhilharMagic, explore New Fantasyland, Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean and anything else that is unique to WDW that you haven't seen at DL. Be sure to watch Wishes and the Main Street Electrical Parade.

Epcot: Spend 1 day in Future World and 1 day in World Showcase. Get a FP for Soarin' as soon as you get in park, then Test Track. Don't miss: Spaceship Earth, Seas with Nemo and Friends, Mission: Space. World Showcase: Maelstrom in Norway is cool too for teens. Be sure to watch IllumiNations!

Animal Kingdom: Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari are all must do's. Also spend some time exploring the self-guided areas and watching the shows.

Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Toy Story Mania (all 3 of these need FP's, get Toy Story Mania one first thing when you enter park since they run out). Watch Indiana Jones and Lights, Motors, Action! I also love Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. Don't miss Fantasmic!

Have you made Advanced Dining Reservations yet? I'm out of room but shoot me a follow up question and I'll help you out there too!

    Have a wonderful vacation,

    Kaylene
