Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I am planning a trip for my family and a friend's family. We will be traveling with children ages 14, 13, 12 and 12, can you recommend some ideas for events they can attend that are age appropriate and they will think are cool?

- I don't know about the kids you'll be traveling with Michelle, but based on personal experience with my own 13-year-old daughter it can be difficult to predict what she thinks is "cool" as her preferences seem to change quite often! : ) Hopefully one of these ideas will strike a chord with at least a couple of the kids in your party.
Surfing is still "cool" right? If so, check into the surf lessons offered at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park. It's home to a huge wave pool where personal coaches offer 2.5 hours of instruction to small classes of no more than 13 people. If you're interested be sure to call 407-WDW-SURF to check on availability during your travel dates. For even more water related adventure, consider the parasailing or wakeboarding opportunities available at Sammy Duvall's Watersports Centre located at the Contemporary resort.
Of course, you may consider a visit to DisneyQuest, an indoor interactive theme park full of video gaming, virtual reality activities and more. Both my 13 and 10 year-old daughters love this place.
Dinner and a show at the Hoop-De-Doo is usually a hit with all ages as well. Be forewarned that it tends to be a bit on the corny side, but your kids might enjoy the antics, especially if one of the adults in your party is chosen to participate on stage.
For more ideas, be sure to check out the attractions, events, and recreational opportunities Disney recommends for their teen guests. They've got some great suggestions. Happy planni
