Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hello, we've been 6 times at WDW but never in Dec. We're a bit lost. Could you help us with the planning for 1-9 December? Moreover, I thought about buying the Mickey's Xmas on 3Dec, is that a good idea? We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Thanks

- Hi Nelson Eduardo,
Even though you have visited Walt Disney World many times before, going at a new time of year opens up many new possibilities! I have been to Walt Disney World in early December, and one of the great things about this time of year is that the theme parks are not overcrowded, since it is in between Thanksgiving and Winter breaks for most school children in the United States.
If I understand correctly, you are considering going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on December 3rd. I was able to attend this party last year, and I highly recommend it. Watching it "snow" on Main Street, U.S.A. was positively magical, and it was so much fun to watch the special nighttime parade while enjoying cookies and hot cocoa that were included with admission. I do recommend, especially if you are traveling with young children, that the day you attend the party might be a good day to skip the theme parks during the day and take it easy.
On a day that you are not visiting a theme park, I recommend touring some of the Walt Disney World resorts to see how beautiful they are for the holidays. Disney's Wilderness Lodge will be stunning. From there, you could take a boat to the Magic Kingdom, but then do not even go into the Magic Kingdom. Instead, ride the monorail around and check out the beautiful decorations in each resort.
Another holiday offering not to be missed is the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. These amazing lights decorate the Streets of America at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Be sure to find out the exact times of the lights when you arrive at Walt Disney World.
I would love to help you plan your vacation more, Nelson Eduardo; however, I am limited in the amount of space that I have to answer. Please do come back and let us know if you have any further questions!
