- What are the best activities for a 11 year old?

- Hi Miranda!
Walt Disney World has a wide range of fun experiences to be found both inside and outside of the parks. In fact, so many that you probably will not fit it all in just one visit!Since your 11 year old will likely be tall to experience some of Disney's thrill rides, I highly recommend checking out attractions such as Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Outside of the parks there is a plethora of activities that an 11 year old will be ecstatic to try! Why not take them out on their own personal boat tour?A Sea Raycers is a two person boat that is a great way to spend an afternoon zipping around the waterways located throughout Walt Disney World. Rental locations can be found at Moderate and most Deluxe Resorts, reservations can be made by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.If your up for even more water adventure, head over to the Contemporary to try Sammy Duvall's Parasailing, which offers spectacular views high above Bay Lake.
To slow things down a bit, head over to Ft. Wilderness for some more outdoor fun, here guests 9 and up can take a relaxing trail ride by horseback. Reservations are recommended by calling (407) WDW-PLAY and close toe shoes are required for riders.Ft. Wilderness is also home to one of my favorite activities for the whole family.Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-along is a fun way to interact with the characters, roast some marshmallows, sing a few songs and enjoy a movie under the stars! This is held every night (weather permitting) and you are welcome to bring your own supplies or there are items available for purchase.
I hope this helps planning your magical Walt Disney World vacation and be sure to visit us again if we can help answer anymore of your questions!
