  • I plan on bringing my daughters stroller from home for her and because it has a basket. My son will be 6 and I know he will get tired from walking so what should I do about him? He weighs almost 50 lbs now.

  • Six really is an awkward age, too big for the stroller, but not too big to get tired from a long day in the parks. Come to think of it, 40-something is not too big to get tired from a long day in the park ;-)

Our family's solution to this problem was the KiddyBoard. This was a little platform on wheels (a bit like a skateboard) that attached with clips to the bottom of our regular stroller. It allowed our older child to "ride" the stroller while standing behind it. Aside from it saving our daughter's strength, I also felt like it is was a good safety measure during crowded times (like an exit from the fireworks) because she was always in one spot and could not accidently slip away from me.

I have seen several different brands of these boards at different price points. You should check with your local baby supply store to see what they carry. But we found our KiddyBoard to be an indispensable tool at WDW. In fact, we often had other families ask us where we got it because they wished they had one.

Hope you have a great trip.
