Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Both of my children will be celebrating their birthdays (6 & 10) while we are in Disney. Is the Pirate and Princess party appropriate for my 10 year old son or is this an activity geared towards younger children?

- The Pirate and Princess Party is totally appropriate for your son. I took my family (kids ages 7 and 10 at the time) to the P&PP last year and we saw kids of all ages (and adults) having a great time. First, almost all the rides are open in the park. Since the number of tickets sold is limited, there should be minimal wait times for the rides. This is a bonus at any age. In addition to the rides, there is a special fireworks show, a special stage show, and a special parade just for the party. The pirates featured in these should be great fun for a 10-year-old boy.
There are many other activities at the party as well. These include special street performers, a dance party area, special character greeting events, a pirate tutorial, and a treasure hunt throughout the park where children can find loot such as doubloons (chocolate coins) and jewels (Mardi Gras beads). I hope you and your family have a great trip.
