Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Is there a system to avoid losing a little child in a big place like Disney? It will be my first visit to Disney and I am afraid of it. Thanks regards

- First of all, there are a few things that you can do as a parent to prepare your child, depending on their age.
1 - put your cell phone number somewhere on their person and teach them to show it to a Cast Member should they become lost.
2 - when you arrive your resort, show your child a Cast Member and their distinctive name tags.
3 - let your child know that if you should become separated from each other that they are to ONLY go with a Cast Member.
4 - Each morning, take a picture of your child before departing your room. You will always have a record of what your child is wearing.
WDW Cast Members will usually take a lost child to the Child Care Center. There are systems in place to help lost children. If you like, stop by City Hall in the Magic Kingdom to speak with a Cast Member about their procedures.
Explain to your child that there are certain times that you WILL be holding hands. This includes when walking through parking lots, during crowded conditions at park closing time and when navigating through crowds during the fireworks.
