Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- My husband and I are planning our first Disney trip with our son who will be almost 3 years old. Debating whether to get the Memory Maker. Will we have to wait in any lines to get the pictures taken? Our son is pretty squirmy, and I want him to have fun!

- Hi Mary!
Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Memory Maker is a great way to have your whole family together in your Walt Disney World vacation photos! You will still have to wait in line for any photos, such as character photos, where a Disney PhotoPass photographer is available. I know about squirmy 3-year-olds; I have one of them myself. So I usually choose my daughter's favorite characters and make a plan around the must-have pictures. I especially like places like Epcot's Character Spot where I can get multiple characters in one location. I'll never forget our last family trip when my daughter would run from one character to the next, yelling, "Who's next, Mommy? Who's next?" The pure joy on her face and the big hugs she gave Minnie Mouse were priceless. It was nice to have Disney's PhotoPass photographers capture the looks on her face, so I didn't have to be behind the camera and could enjoy the moment.
All your pictures will be available by digital download, so you don't have to pay per photo, all of them are yours! Many attraction photos such as Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin are included in Memory Maker as well as some Character Dining locations. You can save $50 by pre-ordering Memory Maker online at least 3 days before the first photo is taken. And don't forget to ask about Magic Shots where you'll find surprises in your photos in certain locations around the Walt Disney World Resort!
If you have any other questions, please ask away. I hope you have a magical, fantastical vacation!
