Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I am planning to take my 21 mo. old son and 4 year old daughter to Disney in June. My mom and husband are concerned they are too young and are urging me to wait a year or two. I really want to go now though. Any advice? Thank you!

  • Hi Laurie!

I can completely understand you wanting to take your kids to Walt Disney World now, as I was the same way! I couldn't wait to take my kids to Walt Disney World! I took my son for his first trip when he was three and my daughter was only two on her first trip....so, I'm a believer that your little ones are not too young for the magic of Disney.

There are plenty of things for them to do, as any attraction that does not have a height requirement is good for them. That means that both of your little ones can experience It's a Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Living the Land Tour, Enchanted Tales with Belle and more.

Your four-year-old will love Hollywood Studios, especially Playhouse Disney Live on Stage, meeting Jake and the Neverland Pirates and all the Pixar Pals. There are also baby care centers throughout the parks, so you can stop in to take care of your 21-month old if you need a quiet place to feed him or just relax away from the crowds for a bit.

Make sure to take a lot of pictures and show them to your little ones after your vacation so the memories stay with them. My son swears he remembers things that happened at Disney when he was three because we look at the pictures so much.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
