Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- Hi we are going jan 9 to the 13 for a wedding. My kids are 2.5 and 9 months. Should we even bother buying a fast pass. We are getting park hopper for us but don't know how much my two year old can do. We are staying at contemporary resort.

The good news is, you don't have to buy a FastPass. Both the FastPass and new FastPass+ programs are completely free to guests. During testing of the newer FastPass+ program only Disney resort guests have been able to test it out (for the most part), but as a general rule, neither is something you have to pay for.
As for what to do with setting any of your FastPass+ passes, I normally recommend to people that they go for afternoon times. However in your case, since you should definitely plan on being back at the resort in the afternoon for nap time, I would go for late morning passes. Go for character greetings like the Enchanted Tales With Belle, and popular rides like Journey Under the Sea.
And you are correct in being cautious about how much energy your children have. Too often people over do it, and then nobody has a good time. With a conservative schedule that includes quiet afternoons at the resort hotel, you are sure to improve your experience.
