Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I'm planning a trip for my family (7, 5, 4, infant). Is it completely wrong of me to book our Art of Animation room for 2 adults and 2 children so we can get the Little Mermaid Double room?

- Hi, Amber!
The maximum number of guests in a standard guest room allows for 4 guests plus one infant under age 3. By adding another child, you are exceeding the room limits. If you only include 2 children on your room reservation, you will be short one MagicBand/Key to the World card which allows you to enjoy Extra Magic Hours as well as your transfers for Disney's Magical Express if you plan to use airport transportation.
These rooms are tight even when staying within the "4 per room" limit. By having a family a 6 in this room, you will be really, really in close quarters together. The room is only about 260 square feet with 2 double beds plus the pack and play for your little one. This does not leave a lot of extra space.
Your options are to book a second room connecting with yours, or upgrade to a Family Suite. I know this really increases the price of your vacation, but with your wonderful large family, it might be necessary. You will need to decide what will work best for your family. Good luck!
