  • Hey Greg,

I think that is awesome that you are venturing to Disney World for the first time. You are never to old for Disney World. I recently did my first solo Disney World trip and loved it! I can't wait for my next one!

You will find the Disney transportation system reliable and easy to use. You can travel from Pop Century to the Downtown Disney area by taking a Disney bus from the Pop Century bus stop to Downtown Disney. The Boardwalk resort and entertainment area is an extra step or two but still an easy trip. From the Pop Century resort, while the parks are still open, take a bus to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. You can walk thru Epcot and out the back entrance that is located in the World Showcase betwen England and France. This walkway will lead you to the Epcot resort area and the Boardwalk area. While at Hollywood Studios you can take the sidewalk that runs next to the Disney bus stops and towards the Epcot resort area. It is approximately a fifteen minute walk to the Boardwalk. You can also take the boat from the Hollywood Studios dock to the Boardwalk. The boat also stops at the Dolphin/Swan at Yacht Club/Beach Club resorts so this option, while less walking, will take longer.

If the parks are closed you can use Downtown Disney as your connection and travel from Pop Century to Downtown Disney where you will be able to catch another bus to the Boardwalk. The last option would be to take a cab from one resort to another. There are cabs easily accesible at all Disney resorts, just ask the valet at the resort entrance. The cab is of course not free like the Disney buses but is a quick and easy option for the late night travels.

    Wishing you a magical trip!
