  • Debbie,

    To be candid, most of my table service dining preferences all happen to be on the Disney Dining Plan anyway, so you won't need to go far "off plan" to get some great dining.

    There are several table service meals that require two table service credits. These are rarely worth the two dining credits, so I typically either skip them, or pay for them with cash and use credits elsewhere. Some that come to mind include;

    • California Grill
    • Jiko
    • Citricos
    • Narcoossee's
    • Le Cellier (now a 2-credit meal at dinner)
    • Flying Fish
    • Artists Point
    • Hollywood Brown Derby
    My personal recommendations for YOUR family (based on ages) of this bunch include a dinner at California Grill timed to the Wishes Fireworks, a lunch at the Hollywood Brown Derby on a Hollywood Studios day, and a dinner just for you and your spouse at Jiko or the Flying Fish if you can have your girls spend the evening in a Child Activity Center.

    As for other restaurants that are not on the plan, many of the Downtown Disney restaurants are great. Consider Raglan Road, House of Blues, Fulton's and Paradiso 37 when visiting there. Some of these will be on the plan later, but many won't.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
