Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I have been to Disneyworld several times as a child, but this is my first time with my children. I understand reservations for meals are highly recommended. We have never made reservations before. Is it really bad if you don't make them for all meals?

- Hi Kristen! I hate to be the one to tell you, but it's not like it was in the old days! I'm not sure how old you are, but if you are my age, than the only park when we were girls was the Magic Kingdom. Add a couple years, Epcot came, then MGM(now Hollywood) Studios finally the Animal Kingdom. With the growth came world class restaurants so good that locals and folks who aren't even staying at Walt Disney World are eating at them. Oh yeah, did I mention the dining plan? If you haven't heard of it, it's a way that guests can pre-pay for their meals, which saves them $$$$.
So with all that, it is not usual for people who haven't planned well, to find themselves eating meal after meal at fast food, counter service places, because all the restaurants are fully booked. I'm not saying that you can't be spontaneous, but if you want to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table for example, you are going to want to plan for it months in advance.
Look up "dining plan" on our search function and you will see all of the advice on dining reservations the Disney Moms have given over the past few months.
Have a magical trip!
