Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- I will be landing in Orlando Tues. June 3rd at 11am. I am taking ME to Pop. I would like to go to downtown disney and have dinner at Rainforest Cafe. What is the earliest possible time I could make dinner reservations for without running late? Thanks!

- HI Brandy! I just did the Magical Express for the first time last week. OK, I didn't exactly, but it's a long story. Here it is.
I landed at about 3:40 pm. I wanted to get to my hotel before 5 pm, as I had dinner plans. By the time I got to the ME counter (a short line) checked in got into my resort's line, then to my bus, it was about 4:10. I asked the ME driver when we would be leaving. The Disney cast members are very nice and accommodating. He radioed in and found out they were waiting for one more plane to deplane, so about 20 minutes. I know that the drive to Walt Disney World property is about 25 to 30 mins, so I jumped off the bus and took a cab. More than you wanted to know, but many people think you just get off the plane to a waiting bus. There is a process.
You want to estimate about an hour and a half to two hours door to door from the point you get off the plane. It should take about 20 mins(depending on the line at your resort's lobby) to check in, so I think you would be all checked in and ready to roll at about 2:00 pm. That's plenty of time for an early dinner.
Downtown Disney is really fun. It has the world's largest Disney store, World of Disney. You could head to Downtown Disney early, do your souvenir shopping then beat the dinner rush by heading to the Rainforest's Elephant head(the hostess station) around 3:30 or 4 pm.
Have a great time!
