Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • I have two excited boys (13 & 10) who had a question about DisneyQuest, when you pay the admission fee, should they be prepared with a pocketful of quarters to use when playing the numerous arcade games? They can't wait to visit this huge gameroom.

  • Benita,

No pocket full of quarters required!  The vast majority of games and activities at DisneyQuest are included in the price of admission.  There are a limited number of games of skill where you can win prizes, which do cost a small amount to play.  Even for these games you don't need quarters, but you do need to purchase a game card.  Any of the other games, including video games, are included in the cost of admissions.

I was at Disney Quest a few weeks ago for several hours doing "research" (tough "work", huh?), and I didn't spend a cent beyond the cost of admission.  I had a great time, and I'm sure that your "excited boys" will have an even better time.

By the way, DisneyQuest can be a great option on your first or last day at WDW, since it really only requires about 3-4 hours to experience most of the games and activities. I was there for a little over three hours and easily did all of the "headliner" activities, and several others as well. Of course your experience with "excited boys" may vary! ;-)

Also, while you are there be sure to try out "Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold" -- it uses almost the exact same 3-D gaming technology as the new Toy Story Midway Mania attraction in Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It is a very fun group/family activity!  ºoº
