Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Our trip is early May. Better to have a later bkfst ADR (9:30 or 10) at CRT on an early EMH day or better to have an early ADR (8 am) on a non EMH day? Aren't crowds normally bigger on an EMH day? What would you suggest?? Thanks!

  • Hi Melissa.  Yes, crowds are generally larger on Extra Magic Hour days as resort guests flock to these parks in order to take advantage of the extra time.   Its for this reason, that I recommend booking your early dining reservation on a day not having extended morning hours.

I occasionally visit the parks having Extra Magic Hours if I can get through most of the rides during the extra hour plus the first few hours of standard opening time.   After that, crowds can get real large as the non-resort guests arrive.   Using your example, while you could take advantage of the extra hour, you will find these full crowds in effect after your
    9:30 or 10:00 AM breakfast.

However, if you arrange your breakfast before operating hours (
8:00 AM), you will be likely be ready by the time the park opens and not be concerned about the crowds associated with the extra magic hours.
