Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Hi - We will be at AK on the day of my daughters birthday, I want a custom cake, but am not sure of the amount of time to plan at AK - 1st visit at this park. Having bfast at Tusker House at 9am. Should we plan dinner at the park or offsite for the ADR?

  • Hi Amy:

With the variety of attractions and rides, many families can make Animal Kingdom an "all-day" Park.  But for my family, which includes two boys, ages 8 and 6 who have been traveling to Disney World since they were infants, it's a stretch for us to last past 2:00pm or 3:00pm if we arrive at Park opening.

With your breakfast reservation, you probably won't start riding attractions until 10:00 a.m. at the earliest, which could increase the chances of you "lasting" at the Park through dinner.  I'm also not sure of your daughter's age, interests, or height (some rides have height restrictions).  But my gut tells me you would be more comfortable arranging dinner elsewhere.

    Enjoy your vacation.
