Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel
- We are going to WDW in May 13 and staying at the Art of Animation. I have booked a couple character meals (Chef Mickey, and Whispering Canyon) at other resorts. Is it better/easier to drive ourselves or take the buses to the other resorts?

- Hi Nikki,
There are times when it is easier to drive to other resorts for dinner. For example, we almost always use our car to get to Animal Kingdom Lodge because parking is readily available and it is somewhat isolated. Generally, though, we prefer to use Disney transportation.
For the restaurants you mentioned, however, I would take the bus. Both the Contemporary, home of Chef Mickey's, and Wilderness Lodge, home of Whispering Canyon Cafe, are easily accessible from the Magic Kingdom bus station.
The Contemporary is on the monorail, though we find it simpler to take the short walk from the bus station. Wilderness Lodge is a 5-minute water taxi ride from the dock in front of Magic Kingdom.
I timed the bus ride from Art of Animation to Magic Kingdom on a recent visit (18 minutes), if that is useful for your planning.
