Answered Question - Disney Parks Moms Panel

  • Coming to WDW in 2014 to celebrate our 15th Anniv with our boys (6,8). Plan to go (just 2 of us) to La Nouba for our Anniv. Can you recommend a great dinner to accompany the show? Coming from Beach Club. Also, how does kid's club work? pricing?

  • Hi Heather,

How wonderful to celebrate your anniversary at Walt Disney World!

Since you are heading from Disney's Beach Club Resort to Downtown Disney, let me suggest a few restaurants that I really like for a more adult evening in both of those areas. A quick walk around Crescent Lake would take you from Disney's Beach Club Resort over to Disney's BoardWalk area, where I really enjoy Flying Fish Cafe for delicious seafood.  If you prefer steak to seafood, Yachtsman Steakhouse, located in Disney's Yacht Club Resort, is a great option for a celebratory meal. My husband and I particularly enjoy relaxing in the Crew's Cup Lounge, located adjacent to the Yachtsman Steakhouse, before a meal there. If you would rather have your meal at Downtown Disney, check out The Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe. This is the upstairs part of Wolfgang Puck's location on the West Side of Downtown Disney, and it features delicious signature dining.

As to the Children's Activity Centers, they are great! My 8-year-old daughter loves them and asks for a night at one each time we visit. One of the centers, the Sandcastle Club, is located at Disney's Beach Club Resort. It is a good idea to make a reservation for your children at the club ahead of time by calling 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463). Typically the clubs open around 4:30 p.m. There is a two-hour minimum and the last time that we visited, the cost was $11.50 per child per hour. They do feed your children dinner. I cannot stress enough how much our daughter loves her times at the Children's Activity Centers. From art to movies to dress up clothes, she just cannot get enough of the Disney fun there!

I hope that this information helps you to plan your celebration, Heather. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
